(11-12-08) The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, the National Cancer Institute and the Office of Dietary Supplements announced the availability of grants to conduct basic, mechanistic and/or preclinical research on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) areas of special interest. The aim of this funding opportunity is to understand the mechanisms of action of CAM therapies and to provide a stronger foundation for ongoing and planned clinical studies.
