The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee November 14 unanimously approved the "Community Health Centers Renewal Act of 2007" (S. 901) to reauthorize the Community Health Centers (CHC) program and the National Health Service Corps (NHSC).

House passes legislation that will prevent a 10.1 percent cut to doctors’ Medicare payment rates and extends funding for the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) through March 2009.

House fails to override president's veto of the reauthorization of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).
