AACOM has nominated Ronald D. Deprez, PhD, MPH, and Anne C. Jones, DO, for seats on advisory committees within the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and HRSA. Dr. Deprez, Associate Professor of Public Health and Executive Director of the Center for Health Policy, Planning and Research at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, was nominated to serve on the National Advisory Council for Healthcare Research and Quality (NACHRQ). The NACHRQ advises the Secretary of HHS and the Director of AHRQ on the agency’s efforts to improve the quality, safety, efficiency and effectiveness of health care for all Americans.
AACOM nominated Dr. Jones, a resident at the Maine Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency and former AACOM-American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Osteopathic Health Policy Intern, for the Advisory Committee on Interdisciplinary, Community-Based Linkages (ACICBL). Dr. Jones is a recent graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM). The ACICBL provides advice and recommendations to the Secretary of HHS and to Congress concerning policy, program development and other matters related to the Title VII interdisciplinary, community-based training grant programs.
